Close!

Today's alignment of planets meant that I could go to see my first Bonnyrigg Rose match this season. It was against co-leaders Stenhousemuir - at the start of today Rose was one of four teams (of 10) top in 11 points. The game was competitive, and settled by a second half Stenhousemuir headed goal from a corner. Towards the end of the game Rose threw on the hometown icon that is Keiren McGachie (9), and he just failed to convert this chance. It was also good to see how the ground is slowly improving: visiting supporters now have a small covered stand with seats. However, the attendance of 786 was lower than last season when supporters (like me!) were enjoying the novelty of league football at New Dundas Park.

Earlier, I'd walked Django, and this evening I watched the fantastic Ireland vs South Africa rugby match, after enjoying England's romp against Chile. As for United, even a 1-0 win at Burnley is welcome!
