1st October and it’s 18° warm

Despite the early hour, there was a veritable crowd of swimmers at the beach this morning. 8am and many  heads were bobbing in the ebbing briny.
The sun was out, there was no wind and the sea was calm, albeit it was a long walk away over sand and through the shallows to reach deeper water.

I had looked at the state of the tide but judged it would have been further up the beach than it was. However when we reached the water it was most enjoyable to frolic and swim. There was one moment eliciting a yell when the daughter was attempting a handstand and something bit her finger as she put her hand down on the sea bed. Presumably a crab had objected. Fortunately she was wearing gloves so no damage.

It was such a lovely morning that we  broke our  journey home by going for coffees and bacon rolls to McDonald’s at Meadowbank. Not quite Söderberg but just tickety boo  for the occasion this morning.

On our way to the bus in Porty, we passed St Mark’s Episcopal Church and I found my blips in the grounds thereof!

Son#2 is coming this afternoon to help me sort out my TV FreeSat problem. It’s almost warm enough to sit outside although it’s suddenly turned blowy.
