Business Class

You get these miniature gin bottles (flasks?) from KLM only when you fly Business Class. We've never bought Business Class tickets but were unexpectedly upgraded way back late in 2007 when KLM overbooked some 40 passengers, us among them. We couldn't fly with the plane we had booked seats in, so we were forced to overnight for free in Badhoevedorp, a village near Schiphol Airport; complete with dinner and breakfast, after which we were allowed to join the same flight the next day but, this time, in Business Class ... because they had overbooked the Economy seats of that flight, too. There were other extras which they gave us in compensation for all the bother and blather. Hubby now wants to get overbooked every time; I do not.

These miniatures represent ACTUAL houses here in The Neth., by the way. I think they have the miniature reproductions of at least 80 real houses which can be found in various cities in the country. You do have to fly Business Class regularly if you want to complete your set. They are not for sale in the souvenir shops at the airport. We only have two and I tend to think it will stay that way ... unless we get unlucky again.

Summer holiday in 4 weeks! And we just got past winter!
