Yorkshire Spiders from Mars

Had a long journey over to the East Riding with Lurkio on trains and a bus (train to Leeds, train to Hull, train to Bridlington then final bus to Flamborough). Everything went to plan but it was about 5 hours door-to-door and I felt exhausted (and yet wired at the same time!) when we finally arrived.

We were staying at Thornwick Bay (Haven) because we got an incredibly good deal, when we arrived we'd received a complimentary upgrade so the van was waaaaaaaay better than we'd paid for. Well chuffed! Wouldn't dream of coming to one of these sites during busy times but out of season it was lovely and quiet.

Unpacked and chilled out for a bit and then had a wander up the road into Flamborough village for a couple of pints. Added extras of one of the pub windows and a nice postbox set in an interesting and characteristically 'Flamborough' wall, i.e. a mix of chalk and brick. There's an interesting episode of Villages by the Sea about it, and all the places I visited during the week on iPlayer here if anyone loves this area like I do. I really like that TV series :-)

Got ripped off in the site shop and fish and chip shop... mistakes you only make once hehe.
