Great themes this month for Mono Monday - thanks to our host, Libeccio and organisers.


Deanston is one of (if not the most) southerly distillery in Scotland.  A relative newcomer too, started in 1966 when the Deanston Mill (cloth weaving) had gone out of business and someone had the bright idea of repurposing the buildings as a distillery.  

A good tour - ours was given by a chemistry graduate so very well informed.   {Edit:  see comment below}

Mono conversion in Sliver Efex,  with a mild blue filter to give the liquid some tone.

Highland Park (on Orkney) is the most northerly - I have a bottle of theirs too.
