SAAM

This lovely 1933  Art Deco building( which was in our neighborhood when we first lived in Seattle,)  was the main Seattle Art Museum until the “new” one was built downtown in 1991and this one became the Seattle Asian Art Museum…..It  expanded right before  covid and then was closed for 2 years, and then opened fri-sun.    This is the second week it’s now open Thursday through Sundays which was great as we had a lovely visit from former  island Cathy for 6 hours today (she left after dinner) and enjoyed the exhibit,  Japanese Eco"renegade"  prints compared with Toulouse-Lautrec Paris bohemia.  And a walk in Volunteer Park.  She was on her way from Victoria to a friends birthday on Vashon island.  H was clowning around with the shadow.  We’re going to have another visit next week... always more to talk about....
