Gaming...

...but the old school type of gaming. 
We walked to the sea with snacks and sat in the sunshine for a while nattering and playing games. The kids new one is that you get given a fruit/veg and an animal, and you have to draw what they'd look like combined... Some personal faves were strawberry/snail, broccoli/giraffe and pineapple/octopus.
The kids were brilliant cleaning and tidying the flat whilst I went shopping. Giving them both a clear list each works well... I came home and Nate was waxing lyrical about how useful he felt, ha! And give them their due, they did a great job. They earned themselves homemade burgers for tea and a couple of episodes of Baking Impossible on Netflix.

Today I'm grateful for;
1) Both kids reading this morning... We've got a new system where they read for time playing games - funny watching them enjoy the reading more and get absorbed. Full disclosure though, they still love games on phones! 
2) Both kids getting on well with each other today. Life is so much lovelier when they do. 
3) A quick video chat with Danny and Deb.
