Wound up in Wexford

By Neatwithice

A suitable birthday blip

B and E came today, with a trailer load of rocks, and have transformed the area beside the patio.

There's still work to do, but they've worked hard to do the bulk.  W also worked hard, shovelling mulch, and his shoulder is aching this evening.

We're going to plant grasses in front of the pond, and some perennials and ground cover amongst shrubs.  The pond needs some plants, too.

I've added some extras of the work in progress - their large auger has prompted W to order a smaller one that attaches to a drill.

It's my 9th blip birthday today.  A year ago, we had no idea we would "wind up in Wexford" but we were pretty determined that we would be settled.  And this is a great celebration of the progress we've made in settling in our new home.

It's possible that, in a year's time, we'll be able to blip an even greater transformation, of the area on the other side of the front garden (on the right of the drive in this view), where we want to site a much larger, wildlife, pond.

My thanks to all who comment and drop stars, and the occasional heart - I'm not very good at responding.  And my thanks also to all who continue to make this a great website.
