Life in Sunny Dubai

Dubai Mall & EXPO

(17/10/23)

We had another unhurried start. SweetArt was yearning for a Pakistani breakfast, so I ordered Halwa Puri. It wasn't too long before we headed out - to Dubai Mall. I bought a pair of jeans on Thursday, which I need to exchange, so we did that at M&S. We showed Sandy Chinatown (my main picture) and tried some Dim Sum and Xaio Long Bao.

We then walked through Fashion Avenue and the massive Nike store before driving to Expo City. It is still so warm none of us wants to be out in it. Fortunately, there were plenty of (free) taxis around, so we got a general tour of the site before being dropped off at Surreal (my extra).

We were in the right place at the right time to enjoy the first show in the Al Wasl Dome - the Awakening. We went on to Surreal to catch two shows before watching another one in the Dome. Sadly, the pizza restaurant we wanted to eat at was not open on the weekend, so we drove to Jumeirah and had a shawarma at Eat & Drink. Not the best we've had, but they certainly filled a gap.

Could you please spare a few seconds and click here to help towards free mammograms? Thank you.

SweetArt posted a fabulous picture of the Pakistan pavilion, which has not been dismantled.
