Wild Wednesday ...

... first White-throated sparrow and friends.

Yesterday I posted my first dark-eyed junco for the season ... today it's a white-throated sparrow(bottom right pic)!  I guess the cold weather is truly upon us.

And I guess I lied to you last Tuesday when I said the monarch in Extras would be the last one we would see this year.  I was pleasantly surprised to see this beautiful female enjoying the Mexican sunflowers this afternoon.  I hope she is safely on her way to Mexico by now. The weather hasn't been all that warm here ... especially at night.
