Flood

The River Severn at Worcester regularly floods and the effects of Storm Babet did just that.  Ann came back from her morning walk full of information regarding the height of the river.  So obviously I wanted to share this with fellow blippers.  We went out for coffee this afternoon via the Diglis Hotel so I could get some pics.

The river must have risen a good way to reach their gardens, this is the first time I've seen it under water.  It has also reached the car park at the end of our street and flooded Chapter Meadows on the other side of the river.

The footpath into the town centre is completely flooded.

Luckily, although we are canalside, we are well above the high water level.  We walked over to the Commandery for a coffee in their garden.

This morning I made a leek and sage croustade which we had for tea.
