Life in Sunny Dubai

SweetArt's last full day

(22/10/23)

It was SO GOOD to sleep and wake up in my bed this morning! What a crazy time we've had! None of us can believe what we've just accomplished - flying to Lahore for 24 hours and managing to fit in all we did!

The morning was relaxed, with time to catch up on mundane things. We couldn't chill too long as one of my two cousins who live here had already asked to meet for lunch at a restaurant Sandy wanted to eat at anyway. Win-Win. What threw us was my other cousin asking to meet up for dinner. He couldn't join us for lunch. Argh. Sandy wanted to eat her last shawarma before she flew out, so we dined in a Lebanese restaurant in Wafi.

Both meals were super, with lots of chatter and catching up. They couldn't believe we'd just returned from Lahore, having met their parent! In between, we squeezed in a visit to the QE2. Sandy wanted to see what it was like. They are undergoing changes as well, with the late Queen's iconic bust no longer in the exhibition at the entrance, in fact, the entire display has been disbanded and moved elsewhere.

G made it a point to wear her pink pashmina so I could have the pink I needed for October blips. Would you please spare a few seconds and click here to help towards free mammograms? Thank you.
