Life Savors

Cliffs of Moher

We left Spanish Point and after a stop at St. Bridgid's Well, we arrived at the Cliffs of Moher.  This is not the iconic shot that you usually see, but rather looking north.  I have included a few more in extra. In some shots you can see the Aran Islands in the distant upper left.  I chose this shot because it reminds me of that day specifically.  Being there later in the day would have provided better light, but we were just glad to be there.  What a magnificent place.

We spent several hours out on the Cliffs, with 25 mph wind conditions.  Without realizing it, I received a massive dose of allergens from the flowers, grasses and who knows what else. By the time we left I was starting to have a significant seasonal allergy reaction.  While I never felt sick (and tested negative for Covid) it was enough to lead to bronchitis.  Fortunately, I was traveling with two physicians and our traveling companion is a pulmonary specialist who always travels with plenty of medications. By the time we reached Galway later that evening, he had me started on steroids, and an inhaler which really saved the trip for me.

Before moving on to Galway, we stopped for a late lunch in Kinvarra where a delicious Irish Coffee helped considerably

Dinner was at the Quay's Pub, Galway Girl Restaurant with some wonderful Irish music.
