Land-and-seascapes

Scotland, day 2 of 6.

We drove all the way from Ballachulish to Donnie today, to see the beautiful Eilean Donan Castle. A beautiful route with every now and then some road works. Around 12:00 hours we arrived at the parking near the castle. After paying and displaying we wandered off to the castle and later on the food hall where we had a nice lunch.

The weather was beautiful! Like summer almost. Bright blue skies and harsh sunlight. Not the best for photography, but that's not what this trip is about. Of course I tried to capture some nice compositions. See the extra section for that one.

While driving to Dornie, we saw signs on the road telling us the A87 would be blocked during the night for maintenance. We couldn't find out what time that would happen. So, the plan to drive on to Skye to see some highlights over there was skipped. Instead we returned in the direction of Fort William with some stops at beautiful view points along the way.
The Corpach shipwreck was visited (extra), to show Annemarie and the boys where I'd been several times in the past few years. The wreck was a still there, although much more deteriorated by now.

Todays blip is a photo of my sons Bas and Daan in front of Eilean Donan Castle.

Our trip is in full swing by now.
