Day at a Time

What's the Big Idea?

This morning I'm at Treelink Stirling's Autumn Gathering. I've written about Treelink before. It's the organisation which Cameraman kicked off during the first covid lockdown.

The Big Idea is being unveiled today. Briefly it's to join up existing woodland to create a 'crown of trees' which will encircle Stirling and provide a 36km  walking route round the city.

There are four existing 'jewel' woodlands and, if the big idea comes to pass,  they'll be joined by newly planted trees. There will have to be considerable woodland management and removal of non native invasive species too.

This isn't a great photograph because it's a PowerPoint slide in tricky light but it's part of a really inspiring presentation by one of the trustees. The subsequent Q&A session was so positive. There's lots of interest as you can imagine.

It's clearly a very long term project but my goodness I really hope it happens.
