Darwin Day 3

It would be criminal of me not to post this photo for a blip tonight. I spent my day taking photos of racing cars at the Hidden Valley Raceway but this sunset topped the motorsports.

Jo took me for a drink at the Sky City Casino this evening. We watched the sun go down. It was amazing! The sky actually got brighter long after the sun had gone to bed, which was when I took this little panorama.

As I said before, I went to watch day one of the V8's and their various support categories. It was excellent. The motorsport is what I came to Darwin for. Getting to the track proved a bit of a challenge, trying to suss out the bus services. Getting back to the motel was easier and hopefully tomorrow I will have figured it all out, just in time to take Jo on Sunday.

This evening, after watching the sunset, we went for dinner at Cornucopia which is a little cafe/restaurant attached to the museum here. It was expensive but the food was excellent. Our plan was to then walk onto the ski club for a drink and some live jazz. We even made it to the bar but then decided to call it a night. There is always tomorrow. I am amazed that they have a waterski club in an area frequented by salt water crocs and big sharks.
