The Lozarithm Lens

Lacock Abbey NT (Monday 30th October 2023)

Both of my parents were born on this day in 1925 so I wanted to mark the occasion, and so ended up at Lacock Abbey. This was the first picture I took, using a wide-angle lens. I was in the Botanic Gardens, having emerged from the greenhouse where I'd been sheltering from the rain to have my picnic in the dry, and I was still unpacking my cameras when this very brief rainbow appeared. It had almost gone by the time I was ready to take the picture.

As usual I walked up to Bide Brook, alongside the Avon back to the deep pond, around the Abbey clockwise and back to the entrance as the encroaching darkness loomed.
