Villa Stiassni in Brno

I have just arrived back home from Brno where Anna and I visited some of the many buildings designed by architect Ernst Wiesner in the 1930s. This is Anna at the front door of Villa Siassni , his most famous house. After a detailed tour, we were treated to coffee at Cafe Ernst. We both have fond memories of drinking coffee at the Wiesners' in Liverpool when we were very small children, so it was quite appropriate but it seems almost surreal. Mum was delighted to hear that we had made this pilgrimage and we both have homework to do now.
