Wound up in Wexford

Sonoro quartet

W had a dental appointment, I did a session on the exercise bike, but then frittered away the afternoon.

This evening we went into Waterford.  We had an early dinner at The Tower Hotel, then crossed the road to The Large Room, in City Hall.

This energetic young quartet gave us a great recital of an interesting selection of works.  A Beethoven quartet (Op59/3), a work by a contemporary Irish composer, Seán Doherty  - The Devil's Dream - which was challenging to listen to, but it definitely helped that I'd read the program notes, and Shostakovich's Quartet No 2.
