Trichia decipiens

A type of slime mold. Sometimes called Eggs of salmon, for obvious reasons. Lives on the trunks of rotting trees where it finds it’s nourishment; bacteria, yeasts and organic particles. (Learning all the time).

A walk in Hamilton wood this morning followed by a visit to Mitch, then a bit of food shopping, then Janice visited us in the afternoon. Now I’m exhausted.
