Windblown

What a surprise when we opened the curtains this morning! A sparrowhawk was sitting there (Accipiter nisus). No small birds were caught as far as I know, but then again, the reason it didn't fly off straight away might have been that its tummy was too full for take-off. I don't like to think too hard about nature.

Had a very productive day, emptying boxes and sorting, and coxing and boxing others - To Be Sorted Another Day/Week/Month!

Did a wash to dry outdoors as it was sunny and windy. And managed a little crochet in between other jobs.

It's easier to crack on without causing disruption when the house is empty, and it was. Mr PP has had a long day, driving down south for a hospital assessment with a view to having his hip replacement done privately. (He has researched various places and chosen one that seems to have a good track record.) So, now decisions have to be made re timing and so forth. It could be quite soon, but we need to consult with our son as I'll be staying there while Mr PP is in hospital and our son will ferry us back and forth, all being well. Need to fit around his work commitments.

We're now both so tired for different reasons that I think we shall head to bed very soon. Will catch up anon. (No internet for most of today.)
