Wall Art

I popped round to drop a birthday card through a friend’s letterbox and spotted these creatures decorating the wall of a nearby house. 

From the brickwork it can be seen that the building is fairly old; in fact it is one end of the old early nineteenth century stable block belonging to Monkhams, the mansion which used to be situated nearby. The stable block was converted into residential dwellings about thirty years ago and this wall is just one of the many features in the area which give a hint of the former history of the place.
