Old tree

Saw smoke coming from next door garden this morning .I think they are away so went to check all well. Someone clearing up the mess on their (tarmac) tennis court and burning the rubbish .... unusual ! Ended up hoeing the veg patch and planting out the peas that I started off in the greenhouse .Noticed this tree is dying off now. It is a ceanothus and used to be covered in beautiful blue flowers at this time of year. One or two branches have broken off in strong winds over the years but it looks rather sick now. I suspect that it will have to come down soon. Good for a blip tho '.
