Marjorie's ramblings

The journey home

After a good night's sleep - guaranteed by the Premier Inn - we set off for the north in small groups. Some on the 0920, some on 1020 and the last group on 1120 trains. First Transpennine Rail were not popular with us because there were no refreshments on the 3 hour journey.

The train was very busy and at every station there were crowds waiting. For some reason this platform at York station was quiet.

It was lovely to arrive at Hexham where my Mum was waiting to give me a lift home.

I apologise for my lack of commenting over the last week - I've been on holiday and the internet connection has been iffy.
