Wisconsin

My sister very kindly invited my husband & I to come to lunch for Father's Day today, since the girls are far away. We had a great time, & as I mentioned in a previous blip, she & her family recently moved to a farmhouse, built in 1930, complete with barn & outbuildings! This picture of her barn is just quintessential Wisconsin--"America's Dairyland"-- once you leave the city, there are miles & miles of open land, trees, pristine lakes, hills & valleys. And on a day like today, sunny, 78 degrees, nice breeze blowing, family together--just doesn't get any better than this!
