A view from Jeanneb

Magical early walk.

Didn’t get straight off to sleep last night so I came down to the kitchen shortly after midnight and saw it was snowing lightly and everywhere had a white covering, so getting up at 6.15am for the early walk I wasn’t surprised to see our first fall of snow of the season on the last day of November.

Only three ladies walked through the St Ives estate thus morning and we all agreed it was magical. The orange glow from the rising sun accompanied us all the way. The only problem was making a choice of which shot taken to blip.

This one was taken at the end of the walk with the sun clearing the horizon. Great to be out to enjoy it this morning.

We then (after breakfast and a shower) drove over to Ilkley for a Silver Screening ( free coffee and cake) of ‘Napoleon’. I enjoyed it and thought the casting of Joaquin Phoenix was excellent. It was a bit long and I won’t debate the historic accuracy as I don’t know enough about it though we have visited Waterloo!

Took some books to the Oxfam shop on the Grove and then did a top up shop in M & S for our weekend visitors before stopping for fish and chips on the way home.

Popped into Aldi to get a bottle of their excellent value Gluhwein before returning over Bingley Moor as the sun went down

An excellent day.

And a very Happy St Andrews Day to Scots everywhere
