Joe Berwick's Bible

Kanyl has been having a bit of a sort out and Joe's bible turned out.  Joe was our maternal Grandfather, sadly neither of us knew him as he died before Kanyl was born (he is the oldest).  He seems to have been a remarkable man, I haven't researched him much and don't remember a lot of what I was told at the time by my Mum.

Among his other accomplishments, he was very skilled with his hands, we have a sideboard made and carved by him, he painted and as this example shows was a leather worker.  The Bible has a purpose made case with carrying handle to take it to and from church.  The extras are the back and spine of the hand tooled cover of the bible.
