Candlesnuff Fungus and Berry

A relaxing morning with a pre-lunch walk to boost the appetite. This candle snuff fungus was growing quite happily under the stile leading into the nature reserve, and knocked both the rain dripped rose hips and the spindle berry into second and third place. I smiled today, albeit wryly, to read about Sheffield schools planting trees because they'd learned the air in their city was so toxic.
