... and a woodpecker!

We nipped up the motorway for a few stocking fillers and on the way dropped into Slimbridge WWT. The sky over the wetlands was full of lapwings and (no idea, see extra!), but in the side hides this male greater spotted woodpecker was topping up on peanuts.

In politics, having had New Labour I see we're forecast a New Britain... Sadly, New Britain seems to be sticking with old First Past the Post elections. And that's a bit nuts too.
