A view from Jeanneb

Bath Christmas market.

What a pleasant and un hurried day. Sunny, no rain, no frost, no wind and quite warm, (Chris had to find a loo to take his vest off!) when we walked into bath city centre this morning.

We called in Larkhall on the way to pick up something Grace had had put in one side for Jude in the ‘magic’ shop. Next stop Landrace in Walcot Street for coffee and the inevitable cardamon bun for me before hitting the city centre.
You could tell something was different as there were warnings of parking and street use restrictions everywhere and indeed the Christmas market stalls occupied most of the central streets.

Lots of food stalls with wonderful smells, mainly local produce and goods with just one or two of the usual German type decoration stalls. After some shopping we indulged in a mulled cider in the Abbey Churchyard where there is a large Christmas tree - extra

The largest number of stalls together were around the Abbey as seen in the blip. It was busy but not uncomfortably so, tomorrow maybe rather different.

We got the bus back and walked up past Bailbrook House where in the parkland below a car was inexplicably lodged headfirst into a tree. Couldn't imagine it had run away from the car park. Joy riders?

Just time for a relax with a cuppa and a sandwich before picking up Eda from school. Together we have sewing a stocking for her teddy. I put dots on the fabric so she knew where to place the needle.

Waiting for Jude and daddy now and then after bedtime I’m going to grapple with my refund form for GWR for our cancelled train yesterday.

Happy weekend everyone
