The Pensioner

FM and his spoon

A hugely enjoyable morning in the cold rain going round the harbour lifting sinkers which had dragged and were now entangled with others. Proper manly work.
And the rest of the day was given over to getting ready for the party. I think it went pretty well, but being responsible for so much of its smooth running, not to mention the small matter of food, did reduce my enjoyment of it somewhat. I shouldn’t complain - my glamorous assistant was on hand at all times to reduce my burden, mop my brow, and ferry sausage rolls from the kitchen.
Here’s a mug shot of the prize-winners, as is traditional. Once again I’ve been passed over.
