I have been in Beatle nerd mode so much lately that the Fab Four Overlords that perpetually protect us from the Blue Meanies have awarded me this beautiful Yellow Submarine mug.

Lozarithm's Lozarhythm Of The Day:
The Mamas And The Papas - Twist And Shout (recorded November 1966, Hollywood CA)
It was seeing a Sky Arts documentary on the Mamas and the Papas that sparked my re-interest in the group and led me to purchase two of their albums and a 2CD of all their singles, A-sides and B-sides,  which were often quite different to the mixes prepared for the albums. They were big Beatles fans so this may be why they recorded this song, originally a hit for the Isley Brothers and famously covered on the album Please Please Me in a lung-shredding version sung by John Lennon, so popular that when re-issued on an EP it went into the singles chart. The Mamas' version is from the album Deliver and is transformed into an airy ballad.
