Happy Birthday!

Bit of a lazy start to the day chatting over the word games before bread and jam then a cheeky bit of trifle for breakfast. Drove down to P’s house (not in the snow like this time last year) where the place was busy with plumbers and a decorator all working away. I got stuck into clearing more stuff out of the study and spare room and filled the bins as well as three boxes to go to the charity shop. One good thing was that when the plumber went into the loft he found nothing up there for me to sort through-phew!
T arrived and moved the beds and sofa outside to be collected by the council tomorrow, then we drove down to see AR on her (8th) birthday. We arrived just in time to go and collect her from school and she and Mx were delighted to see us and chatted and skipped on the walk home, with Mx getting T to give him a shoulder carry all the way.
We had some birthday cake and she opened our presents and showed us her new rock tumbler/polishing machine that Mt&H had got her-very exciting!
They wrestled and played with T whilst I chatted to H and Mt was on a training call then we took them to their school Christingle service. Each year group sang a different song-Mx wasn’t impressed that he had to sing Little Donkey which he didn’t think was a very good tune! They all did really well though, and it was lovely when they stood all round the church with their candles lit and with the main lights off …teachers’ nightmare having so many kids mixed with so many flames!
Back to their house and a bit more chat, including with A on speakerphone needing essay advice from Mt&H!
The little ones got changed ready for their party at Scouts, so T and I left them to it and T went home and I went back to K’s for some leftovers for supper before an evening looking at online shopping ideas!
