Above And Beyond...

Nolly

I was watching BBC breakfast time tv this morning and they were interviewing Welsh writer Russell T Davies about his new true life drama about Nolly   She is Noele Gordon who played Meg Richardson in Crossroads (1964 onwards) and in her time was almost as famous as PM Margaret Thatcher. She was the first woman to appear on colour tv!!

She died in 1985, aged 65, from cancer but she lived with her mother, a couple of miles from me, at Weir End House on the A40, Glewstone, Ross on Wye, Herefordshire UK. It's now a care home but it gave me the idea to get an aerial photo' of her former manor house. It's opposite a U bend on the River Wye as you can see in the picture.
