Bullfinch

A stuffy day at the desk calling for more coffee again.

Mrs Cakes is very conscientious about keeping the window mounted feeder topped up and drew my attention to this very exotic looking bullfinch having his share of the seeds. I can take no credit for this image. Mrs Cakes pointed the bird out to me and I simply left the camera clicking, unattended, every minute or so. When it got developed there was this guy smiling at the camera.
This is massively cropped down and I was very lucky with the shallow DOF. At this range a couple of inches nearer (or away from) the camera sees the subject starting to blur.
