Summer flowers

This canna lily comes up each summer and lights up the shaded garden. It dies right off in the frost but comes up again in the hot weather. 

Walked to the library this morning and around the block this afternoon. It wasn’t as hot today (low 30°). Otherwise I have been reading a book on mentoring as I have been asked to be a mentor for someone. I did some training years ago and wanted to brush up on what to do. 

Had a lovely phone call from our Sydney daughter this evening, it’s always good to catch up.
