Chatting up the Boys

An inauspicious start to the day was turned around when his Lordship drove me down to meet up with Poppy at home in an idyllic village at the end of the road, right on the shore with a view to die for over the bay, and in glorious warm sunshine too.

His Lordship who is well known for antisocial tendencies, left us to our own devices and retreated back to Stromness saying he had man things to do, preferably without the presence of a wife.

Poppy and I chatted over coffee, we chatted when out for a walk with Ollie the dog, we chatted for a long time with Northern in the Fossil Centre for lunch, we chatted on a trip to Burwick at the very southern tip of Orkney, we chatted to the 50 cattle strung out along a fence in a curiosity line up, and we chatted as I waited for the bus back to Stromness.
I will miss her chat so much. Thank you Poppy for a grand day out.

And back home to a meal in candle light made by His Lordship who had enjoyed his self imposed man day. What he had done he wasn't prepared to divulge.
