Last leaf

... on the magnolia tree,  just outside our kitchen window. It's been very windy the last couple of days, but still that one leaf hangs on. Fascinating!

It's been another productive day, starting with a lovely soak in the bath, which means a read, too! Did the ironing, baked banana loaves, and even did a little gardening. It's gone really mild today, despite the wind! 

Then, late afternoon, the family dropped by. The young master stayed asleep, while little Miss B enjoyed decorating the knitted Christmas tree. She also pulled some crackers off the big Christmas tree, and opened a little gift of a gingerbread girl. She chose to hang it on our tree (see Extra), but took her home in the end, along with her brother's little gift. (It contains a gingerbread boy!) I expect she will help him open it later. It was lovely to see her enjoying our lights inside and out.
