Initially I thought damaged by father time, but looking at the opposite side of the arch, perhaps it wasn't. There is quite a lot of deliberate irregularity at the Minster.

Brought a vinyl club friend back in the evening to listen to the annual Xmas organ recital of Messiaen's benchmark piece La Nativite du Seigneur. Niche taste, so I was pleased and a little surprised that she really enjoyed it.
