Seating plan

On the train at 7:30am this morning on the way to the office. Definitely busier than some of the times I have been recently. I stopped at the Pret-A-Manger on Grays Inn Road for some breakfast before heading into the building. A few other people were also in because we were having a workshop. It’s a follow-up to the one we had last week and was aimed at refining some of the processes we discussed then. It was actually a pretty relaxed day. Before we got into the workshop, there was another service management meeting, but this time related to how we alert them about new features that are coming into the platform. We also did some more domain modelling while we were in the building as the concepts are easier to discuss in person.

It’s interesting how life is adapting to people returning to the building. We are still separating a little bit as the signs on the desks indicate. I’m not sure this is going to last very long because people are mingling in lots of other ways and this seems like a rather artificial separation.

After work, I decided to take the bus back down to Waterloo, which is something I haven’t done for a very long time. Once back home, we needed some extra extra things for my Mum and Dad‘s visit later in the week and so did a little shopping run. Life is less and less about that one big weekly shop that used to be the weekend highlight of this diary.
