Busy, busy, busy

We were at the Farmers’ Market just before the opening time of 9:30, but it was already busy, especially with people wanting berries and cherries.  We bought cheese, coffee and raspberries, but also wanted cherries.  It turned out the cherry man’s van had suffered a burst tyre and he was running late.  We waited an hour, but it was time well spent as we had the chance to chat to people, some of whom we knew, some we didn’t.  We eventually purchased our cherries and drove home.

As soon as we arrived home, MrMacD put two sourdough loaves into the oven to bake then received a video call from a friend in Spain.  We chatted to him while unpacking our purchases and as soon as we’d finished the call we got stuck in.  MrMacD put back the paintings that had been taken down when work was being done on the ceilings and moved all the surplus paintings into the third bedroom so the rest of the house was reasonably tidy.  He also scrubbed potatoes ready for tomorrow and prepared a cauliflower dish.  I made a Green Sauce to go with the salmon, a Mushroom Pâté and Chocolate Mousse.  We’re not doing the traditional Christmas food.  Afterwards we both got stuck into some household chores.  After supper we finished sending the last PDF Christmas cards.

I am way behind still, but will catch up with all things Blip after Christmas.

The two ladies in the main blip are sisters and they sing at the Oamaru Farmers’ Market once a month.  They’re always popular as they play music that everyone enjoys.  The extra is tonight’s sunset.
