We lost power

It went off before 2pm and came back on at 8.15.  It made a dark day even longer.  At least I found candles, which looked quite pretty and I do have a camping storm lantern.  The most annoying part was the bleep from my smoke detectors telling me the batteries need changing.  I need to instigate a regular changing date for them as I can never remember which ones I’ve changed. I also need to remind myself how to do it.  I also need another camping lantern and batteries, just to play safe.

At least it was warm and I could just about see well enough to cook bacon and egg.
