A view from Jeanneb

Back to the early walk ..

actually we started 15 minutes later than usual at 7.30am.
The moon was high still and the path into St Ives woods from the road was tricky as there are several fallen trees across the path one with a very jagged trunk/ branch sticking out quite dangerously.

Very wet and muddy under foot, not surprisingly, though it was only mizzling and with no wind it was relatively warm.
Good to catch up with everyone after the festive break.
At the pond neighbour D and I fed the swans who seemed very hungry. Round the other side the sun could be seen colouring the sky and making a nice reflection in the water.

Leaving the woods here, at 8.30,  the sun was finally making its presence felt. I chose this one for the colour but also for the newly planted  trees that can be seen in the back ground.

In the extra you can see us negotiating the fallen trees on our way back down the path to the road.
