Reflections in the stream

Thursday
The day started overcast, but by about 11 am the cloud was beginning to break up, and we had a cool but lovely sunny afternoon. I spent some time in the late morning sitting in my favourite chair in the sun in the breakfast room, doing Duolingo and knitting, then in the afternoon we went hiking at Long Branch Farm and trails, where we found only a couple of cars in the car park. My favourite scenes along the trail were the reflections of winter trees and the blue sky and white clouds reflected in the stream. We saw a hawk in a tree as we were driving in, and three deer scampering away as they heard us approaching.
This evening was choir practice, but not handbell practice. In choir we were very thin on the ground - one soprano, one alto (me) two tenors and two basses! A few people were sick, but I don’t know about the others! Fortunately Michael had picked out music for the month that we have sung before, so we managed.
