Thrust

There’s a big regional meeting happening this week, hence why various colleagues are converging in Nairobi. The venue is billed as one of Africa’s largest conference venues, which sounded awful and corporate but actually proved to be a good choice in lovely, green grounds quite far from the city centre.

I had to cobble together a last-minute presentation and at one point was thrust onto a panel with no notice, all of which was nerve-wracking in front of senior bods. But overall it was useful to be able to profile my programme which is in a relatively little-known landscape that deserves more attention.
