Christmas Decorations

It’s still raining, though not as heavily as when we came home last night/this morning.  The river has risen again – not that it had gone down very much.   We packed up and tidied up this morning.  I popped into town for a couple of things, and thankfully the rain wasn’t too heavy, so I didn’t get too wet.

By the time we headed off, the rain was much heavier.  As we headed north it was less heavy, and we decided to come up the A68.  We drove through a lot more rain and mist.  We stopped off in Corbridge  hoping to find somewhere for a late lunch.  We were lucky and got a table in a café we have been to before.  We had a wee wander, including a visit to the bookshop, but we didn’t hang around and headed back to the cat and continued our journey.  As we got nearer Scotland the rain eventually stopped.

When we eventually got home the house was freezing.  We unpacked the car and I went straight out for walk to pick up some bread and milk.

Later we cobbled some tea together, BB headed out to see R and TT and I watched some TV.

It was nice to see some colour in Corbridge from the Christmas lights and decorations, on such a miserable, wet and dark day.
