Heading Home

Another lovely morning, a good start to the new year.  We had a slow start to the day, before TT and I headed out for some fresh air.  We wandered, enjoying the sunshine and skirting round the centre of town.  We were to go through Museum Gardens, except we couldn’t as it was shut.  Never mind, we just kept walking, eventually getting home around lunchtime.

TT had planned to cook a roast chicken for tea, but his brother got in touch which changed our plans.  TT re-scheduled his plans, so we could eat earlier.  BB and I had a quick snack, then I took him out for a walk.  We walked all the way around the walls, and were back ahead of schedule!

We enjoyed a lovely meal, before TT’s brother and partner arrived.  Their plan was to go out to the pub, so after they caught up with TT’s mum, we four headed out for a drink, leaving BB and Grandma at home with the chocolate.

We visited a few hostelries, which were all very quiet, before heading back to their house for a nightcap, or two.  I did not partake of the whisky, but had a very nice gin and tonic which I made last a long time.

Although the weather started off well, it had deteriorated by the time we left the pub tonight.  We walked down The Shambles and had it all to ourselves.  The rain was even heavier when we were heading home. The extra shows a sculpture which I have blipped before as an extra when they were dressed as shepherds.  This year the three figures are dressed as the three Kings.
