Not Bruce Springsteen!

Please don't get the impression that I am obsessed with Bruce Springsteen as my teenage daughter says "I am dedicated!"

Also don't get the impression that I compare everyone to Bruce because I don't. There is NO comparison.

Last night McFly took the stage at Whiteven Festival (I am again writing this a day late). We didn't buy a ticket we just had a view from the harbour but we could hear them They didn't manage three and a half hours as I am used to but they did a good hour (obviously they don't have the amount of songs or albums or the years experience to cover three and a half hours!). They were energetic, got the crowd going, jumped around the stage, had a laugh, made fun of a gentleman visiting the portaloo and singing all our fvourite tunes.

As usual I attracted the local drunks! One older gentleman singing he "loved me" waving his arms and swaying drunkenly towards me! This was much to the humour of my friend, her daughter and my daughter. Our daughters find it hard to believe this is a regular occurance, any way my drunken love soon became abusive towards the stewards who did a very good job and he was told I've asked you nicely - your leaving" the poor steward received another hurl of abuse before the man moved away slowly and as he thought discreetly, but 5 bigger stewards followed him, he was oblivious to this until two of the stewards walked beside him and took hold of an arm each and escorted him away from the festival, the other three weren't needed, but were there for back up. Such a sweet and swift manoevre my friend and our daughters didn't realise he had gone or that he had been ejected.

The next one was a young lady who was worse for wear! A little disgruntled because the steward asked her to stand behind him as she was blocking the walk way! She wasn't abusive but a little cross they asked her to move ftom her own harbour. I'm sensing difficulty with being asked to comply with little rules for one day and of cousre health and safety. Anyway, i became this young ladies 'friend' for the evening!

With the concert over we found a chip shop and had a stroll around the harbour amongst all the stalls and waited for the fire works.
