Holkham and Eric's

All up for family park run at Holkham this morning on a beautiful, brisk morning. The sky was such a glorious blue. Fk whipped off at speed and I started off by jogging with MrK by my side. It's a very up and downy course, but all hard standing so no squidging and sliding. I felt I'd run more than normal, but MrK was not so sure. He went off on his own on the last up and down as his calf was tight. I came in with a decent time, considering I've not run since November. I was happy with that and such a glorious view. When the times came through, FK was mildly pleased he'd run a second faster than Uncle Lee, who was back at Maldon today.

We went home for coffee and toast as the cafe is closed during January.

We picked mum up and took a little wander around Burnham Market. The little stream that runs through the village had completely run over the main road through, with an enormous lake outside the Hoste Arms. Norfolk Living shop had a pipe pumping water out through the letterbox and gushing across the road on the opposite side of the street.

Fish and chips at Eric's, delightful as always. Then a lovely drive along the coast road back to Wells. There was a lot of low lying water about. Dropped mum back home and we relaxed with open fire and Saturday papers. FK had an online tutor for his EPQ catch up and he sounds like he's got it covered. It has to be in by April. He's got 3 mock AS exams before then. The next few months will go so quickly.
