A beautiful sunrise

A the painter is excellent and copes with unexpected challenges, such as us saying to him that we’re not going to put the door handles back, when he has already got one top coat on.  He sat and thought and then said that was OK.  He would fill the holes, sand them lightly and touch them up before the second top coat was applied.  Whew!  As a result we had to look for new door handles in Mitre10, but the choice was very limited and also very expensive.  MrMacD is checking out other sources.

The tilers got the old carpet and underlay lifted and installed the concrete board base on which the tiles will be laid tomorrow, which is very exciting.  They’ll move onto the next project next week, hopefully.  

After Mitre10 I went for a haircut then took our application forms to the library and waited while our cards were prepared, then walked back home.

I had some computer admin work to do and also spent time sending lots of contact numbers to a friend whose phone had been run over on the road in Bali, as a consequence of which she’d lost all her contact information.

Now it’s time for bed and I haven’t had time to look at Blip today.
